There are so many nail polish remover to pick out there. How would you know which will work best for you? For me it is all about trial and error. Everything that has to do with makeup is (as far as I could remember)..
In picking nail polish remover there are few things I do keep in mind as a guidelines.
I want every single cent to be worth it, so I usually buy nail polish remover that is on sale because I use them up quite fast.
They have to work really good despite how cheap they cost. Another reason why I always buy things that are on sale ;)
They have to be gentle to my hands as they are gentle on my purse. It is better to opt for nail polish remover that is acetone free (though I haven't come across any) because they are gentler. On the downside, it may take longer to remove your nail polish compared to the acetone nail polish remover. I love glittery nail polish and they are pain in the ass to remove and with non-acetone nail polish remover it will take years!
The scent of the nail polish remover have to be good as well. The stinky scent of nail polish remover often come from acetone. Not to worry, I did come across few nail polish remover that smell good even with the existence of acetone in them.
Here are the three brands that I often go for. I purchase them interchangeably depending on which is on sale (I do the RM/ml calculation to find how much I can save.lol)
Etude House RM7.90 for 100ml (if I'm not wrong) Sweet Floral and Fresh Floral Nail Wash
Elianto RM10 for 100ml Strawberry and Grape Colour Remover
Stage Strip Show
RM18 for 190ml
Pros:
All the nail polish removers are affordable especially during sale. Stage is having promotion now til end of August, 2 bottles of Strip Show for RM12!!!
Good scent. The scent does not sting as bad as the other nail polish remover I tried previously.
Easily accessible in Malaysia especially Elianto
Cons:
How I wish they would be more gentle. They are relatively gentler compared to most I have tried but since I use them pretty often it does affects my cuticles. I guess that is why they came up with hand cream.
Conclusion
I believe the cotton pad used to remove nail polish does help in getting rid of the nail polish more efficiently. My favourite cotton pad will be from Guardian, Facial Square with non-woven protection layers.
Having a pretty lips doesn't mean you have TO HAVE the killer pout like Jolie (I wish for one) because having the killer pout accompanied by chapped lips is totally not sexy... Imagine kissing someone with chapped lips.. ewww.. you might end up with some of the dead skin in your mouth. yucks!
So far, I never come across anyone who reviewed this except my favourite Youtube guru. I take her words on how awesome this product is and decided to grab one. I went to Sephora in Starhill on the first day they open their door to the public but sadly this lip balm was not available. They do carry other famous products from Jack Black, one of it is their hand lotion. I am not too sure on the availability now. You have to inquiry within. I bought mine from Sephora Ion, Singapore for SGD10/ SGD11 (can't recall).
They Promise:
Shea butter and avocado oil deliver moisture while vitamin E and green tea contribute antioxidant fortification. For powerful sun protection, PARSOL and Octinoxate team up to block both UVA and UVB rays.
What I Say :
Jack Black products are designed for men, hence the coolness of the packaging ;D Up to date this lip balm is working wonderfully. I love the fact that it keep my lips moisturized the next entire day if I applied this before I hit the sack. Not to say that none of my lip balm or EMC did the trick but this is special. The moisturized benefit last longer than other products I've tried and it stays on for long hours (provided you don't take any food). For some, the thick feeling might be a turn off :/
I purchased the Natural Mint & Shea Butter SPF25(sadly they only have this option in Sephora Ion), right after applying you will feel the coolness for approximately 5 to 10 minute. For mint lover this would be great! I tend to avoid any minty type of lip balm because they made my lips chapped and dried out even more but with Jack Black it is different ( I guess because menthol is not listed as one of the ingredient?)♥
The lip balm have minty scent and it has minty taste as well. You can definitely feel a layer of product on your lips but it is not as sticky as lip gloss. Don't have to worry about your hair sticking to your lips ;P
Ingredients:
Active Ingredients: Octinoxate 7.5%, Avobenzone 3.0%.
Other Ingredients: Natural Mint, Shea Butter (butyrospermum Parkii Fruit), Avocado (Persea Gratissima) Oil, Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Leaf Extract, Tocopeheryl Acetate (vitamin E).
Pros:
Really moisturizing (depends on individual).
Long lasting. Unlike EMC, when I woke up it is gone.
Squeeze tube, more hygienic than the pot or the solid type I guess.
SPF25!! That is high! Even my EOS only have SPF 15 ;(
Cons:
Some may find it to be too waxy.
Some may hate the thick feeling.
Packaging definitely not for the girly pink lover ;P
Not stated whether it is suitable for sensitive lips..
I said "some" because they are not my main concern when it comes to lip balm.
Conclusion:
Definitely worth trying if the brand is easily accessible! ;D I kinda like it A LOT but not head over heels with it yet. Just because I don't have serious problem with my lips..
Extra Tips
To get are healthy beautiful looking lips here are some tips I would like to share. This may work on people who have a normal lips condition ;)
If you have dry cracked lips, avoid lip balms that contain menthol. It will sting you like crazy!
Look for products that contains Vit E as they are intensely moisturizing ;) Shea Butter or Cocoa Butter will do the tricks too ;D
Don't use petroleum jelly everyday as your lips will rely on it as a barrier. If you stop using your lips will be more dry and chapped.
The usual, DRINK plenty of water.
Use nourishing lip balm no matter what the weather is.
Use a soft toothbrush to get rid of the dead skin by scrubbing it gently with the help of a generous amount of lip balm. I personally do this at the end of my shower, instead of using lip balm to soften my lips the warm water will do it for me.
Make sure your diet contains Vit C because it speed up skin healing process!
Now start smooching!

Inglot was established 25 years ago by Wojtek Inglot and there are 240 retail location worldwide and Malaysia being the first in South East Asia ;p
I came across this brand a year ago when my favourite makeup guru on Youtube go crazy over Inglot's superbly awesome pigmented eyeshadow. I am hooked just by looking at how beautiful the colors online! Their mattes doesn't appear powdery at all. Unfortunately this time around I didn't get any mattes. All the eyeshadows I bought are shimmery.
The colours in my palette are recommended by Miss Francesca, Inglot's makeup artist and I love them! ;)
Some of the colours just appear different in the pictures!:/
I just swipe my fingers lightly on all the colors and see how pigmented the colours are! These babies are definitely for colours lover.
#502 : Dark grey with a little brown and sparkle dust
#501: Grey with a light lavender sheen with sparkle dust.
Both the colours above are hard to describe..
#12: Copper, a little metallic with sparkle dust.
#428: Rich metallic midnight blue.
#494: Purple with sparkle dust.
#487: Light purple with pink hue.
#463: Creamy nude with gold sparkle dust. Similar color to Peach and Fuzz
#27: Bright yellow gold with gold sparkles.
#407: Peach color with gold reflection. I certain angle the color appear more golden than peach. Gorgeous!
#457: Dark brown with multi colour sparkle dust.
I have seen some videos online where you can actually lift up the eyeshadow pan by placing the cover of the palette on top of the eyeshadow pan. It doesn't work for me! I can feel the metal on the cover is attaching but it is not strong enough to lift the pan up. So, I just use the method I normally do. Knife.
The magnet is so strong! I can even hold my palette upside down and the eyeshadow won't fall!
Love or a lust?
For me, I say both.
I love the eyeshadows, they are pigmented, easy to blend and last long enough.
I say lust, even though I don't need that many, I still buy 10 colours.
Each square pan is RM28 and empty palette to hold 10 colours is RM43.
Conclusion:
I believe you can get similar if not the exact same colour from other high end makeup store as well. But for the price tag I believe this brand will make the most out of your money! ;) Even their foundation is priced at RM76 only! 0.0 and the foundation match my skin tone PERFECTLY!
You can check out what other products they have and brief price list on my previous post :)
