Hard Candy Welcome Matte Mattifying Powder

Done with my Too Faced Absolutely Invisible translucent powder and decided to give this a try. Got really curious since this product claims to set your foundation for an all-day wear and it cost only USD8 which is around RM24 and someone was in the USA to help me pick this up.

Overall this product does a decent job. It does mattify the face like it claims and eliminates the shine instantly. But does it stay matte all day? Nope. After few hours my T-Zone starts  to shine and I have to pretty much reapply or blot with blotting paper. Blame the humidity!

This is a translucent mattifying powder, by all means it does not provide any coverage. This do have a slight colour to it which is creamy white, just like any other normal translucent powder would do. After you spread them out they are practically sheer. However, this might show up ashy on darker skin. Inglot has several shades of translucent powder.

The product is finely milled as well. No grainy textures. I do find the powder to be a bit hard. It is a little difficult to transfer the powder into my brush. Compared to my Too Faced, the latter is a little bit more powdery.

The powder come in attractive packaging too. I find that this mirror are similar with the Too Faced ones.

Similar? no?
Cute sponge too! but not the best way to apply the powder with. Nonetheless, great for emergency!

The overall packaging is not compact. A little bulky, it may not fit your small dinner purse. I feel mattifying powder should have a sleek packaging because we tend to carry them around.

This product has no scent which is impressive! It is really hard to find drugstore product that  is scentless. They don't test on animal too!

Ingredients:

Talc, Zinc Stearate, Silica,Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetyl Acetate, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacladipate-1, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Titanium Dioxide, Propylparaben, Iron Oxides (Cl77491,Cl77492, Cl77499), Diazolidinyl, Urea, Carmine, Mica

Pros:
  • Mattify instantly.
  • Affordable price.
  • Scentless.
  • Pressed powder is great for travelling.
Cons:
  • Doesn't stay matte all day.
  • Difficult to transfer into the brush.
  • Bulky packaging.
Conclusion:
I know this is a little hard to get in Malaysia, in case you see this online and it is reasonably priced you might want to give it a try. Overall an okay product. If the point where it claims to keep you face matte all day is an important issue then you might want to skip this.
