Guerlain L'Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold Make-Up Base

Was excited to try this out! Putting gold on my face spell luxury! Don't you think so? This is a deluxe sample size included in the Set for Summer by Sephora. The full size cost USD71 for 30ml amount of product which in my opinion is freaking expensive. Plus it is just a makeup base. I was thrilled to be able to try this at a cheaper price!

Even the deluxe sample shows how much the real product will cost. Gorgeous packaging. Simple yet screams luxury. Love the pump dispenser.

The first thing I notice about this product is the scent. As you know my nose is quite efficient in detecting scents. In the beginning the scent is a bit too strong but gradually it fades and now  I am used to it.

When you pump the product out it is in gel like consistency but as soon as it touches my skin, it melts. Since this melts in seconds, I have to put it in my palm instead of finger like I normally did. Or else it will  drip.

The product absorbed into the skin almost instantly, leaving my skin smooth and soft. No doubt very very hydrating compared to other makeup base. My skin does look better with this on. They look healthier but there is not glow. No radiance. It definitely doesn't make my pore less visible as it claims or smooth out any fine lines. I get good hydration from it but it stops there. For the price I was expecting more. Tightens my pores maybe? or at least make my skin glow? with the gold. Lol.

The gold flecks does not show up on my skin. It is said to give a cooling effect as well. Maybe if you place it in the fridge?

Conclusion:
Aside from hydrating, this has nothing more to offer. In the long run maybe but for the deluxe sample I have, I do not see any difference it made to my skin nor to my makeup application. A nay in my list. Unless you have the budget to splurge on this by all means go ahead.. If not, I suggest you get a really good skincare instead of a makeup base.

nice stuff, bonus that it as a cooling effect. I've tried everything to minimalize the pores but every product claims that work has not yet worked, sigh, still on the hunt for it!!

Yea this is nice stuff, sadly it doesnt do much :(
Oh if you are looking for pores why don't you try Naruko Apple Seed & Tranexamic Acid Pore Minimising Serum. I am currently using it and I like it. Don't notice a big difference yet but it keep my pore clean and the price is really affordable. You might want to try it out :)

I've tried this before and I agree that it is very hydrating! My make up seems to sit better when I have this under. It doesn't sink in as much.

But yeah, it didn't smooth out my fine lines either, which was a bit disappointing!
