Feel a little safer with Ila Pebble Keyring Alarm

Do you always walk alone? I do. I am one scared mice. I have a flick knife in my handbag, a pepper spray and recently a keyring alarm. Well many have asked me " What is the point you carry all that in your handbag? It might not be able to save you"
True indeed. They might not be able to save me but better to be safe than sorry. Plus they are not that heavy to travel around with so why take the risk?

Forget about the flick knife and pepper spray I have in my bag. I am going to talk about the keyring alarm for now in case you are curious.
I bought this without anyone influencing me. Meaning, I have never heard about this at all before I bought it. I was looking for something to replace my super ugly pepper spray and I stumbled upon this.

Why I buy this?
Well few reasons

  • The design is pretty. Compared to the conventional pepper spray this is  definitely more stylish. Size and the appearance look 99% similar to a car alarm key. Nobody would have noticed that you are carrying a portable alarm with you! Cool much?
  • If I ever find myself in a threatening situation this will benefit me more compared to my pepper spray. Just pull off the top and the alarm will be activated in nanoseconds to attract attention. Hoping the sound will scare off the villain. Just in case your voice wasn't loud enough to scream.
  • I attached my house key to this. Lower chances of this being left at home or misplaced. Even when I don't carry handbag, house key will always be with me.
  • Honestly, this may not save you from snatch thieves because I doubt anybody will help even if the alarm went off. This may be useful to prevent kidnap or rap cases.

Specification:

  • Weight: with batteries 21.3g
  • Size: L48(mm) X W38(mm) X H18(mm)
  • Battery life: 3 years (if not used), non replaceable or rechargeable.
  • Volume: 130dB
  • Info: Compact plastic casing; key chain attached
  • Testing: CE
  • Colours available: Black with white swrils; Red polka dots.

How it works?

Simply press the button in the middle of the alarm and at the same time pull out the top section. This will activate the ear piercing (damn freaking loud!!) siren while allowing you to keep your keys to hand. To deactivate, push the top section back into the alarm.
The alarm will sound for at least 10 minutes if you don't deactivate it.

Where to buy?
This may be a problem. Remember my Hi-Shop post? I bought it online from Hi-Shop. Apparently this is available for a limited time only. If you want to get one you should get it soon :)
Retailing for RM54

Conclusion
If you always walk alone, why don't have this in hand. It might be able to save your life one day if anything bad happen *touch wood*

Caution: At very close range, the alarm may
cause ear damage.  Keep away from children
and pets and do not use unnecessarily.
The alarm is a warning device and does not
guarantee safety.

That is really cool! I like that you can use it with your keys. I always walk with my keys in my hand, if I am alone. I was told that if I am ever attacked, I should use my keys to stab my attacker, so I always hold them with one of the keys sticking out between my fingers. I also like that it's so compact and pretty!
