Dentiste' Plus White Nighttime Toothpaste

Bad breath is equally bad as body odour. There are so many brands out there that claims to be refreshing, fight bacteria and reduce bad breath, from past experience, they did not work. For instance, mouth wash, yes they keep my breath fresh but only few hours long. I say max 3 hours. Don't even get started on chewing gum. When I am having bad breath day, I never chew gum. They made my breath worse! Yucks! Until I found this. A herbapeutic toothpaste. Hahaha. I don't know if "herbapeutic" exist but that's what on the bottle.

I received a full size sample from Hermo Malaysia together with Dr Barman three headed super brush (what comes to mind is Medusa) to try. Toothpaste is probably the least interesting item to try out (at least to me) but this exceed my expectation.
What is on the packaging
Naturally helps inhibit night-time bacteria that cause bad morning breath. Helps whiten and protect while you sleep.

Active ingredients :
  1. 14 natural extracts - natural antiseptics and antibacterials that helps prevent oral bacteria, gum diseases and bad breath. (Eucalyptus, Clove, Fennel, Anise, Salvia, Catechu, Commiphora, Cinnamon, Myrrhis, Chamomila, Ratanhia, Mint, Glycyrrhiza and Sage.)
  2. Xylitol - Natural sweetener found in fruits and vegetables that odour-producing bacteria cannot feed on, so it helps decrease the growth of oral bacteria.
  3. CDX (Cyclodextrin Complex) - Helps eliminate bad morning breath by trapping bad smell and prolonging fresh breath.
  4. Silica Complex - Micronised silica complex helps get rid of plague without destroying natural tooth enamel.
  5. Stable Vitamin C - An antioxidant that protects cells against damage and heals wounds for healthier gums.

From two weeks of use, Dentiste' Plus White Nighttime Toothpaste does what it says when it comes to reducing bad breath in the morning. It does helps in reducing the sensitivity that I have as well. However, not many may like the taste of it. The toothpaste does not foam as much as regular toothpaste because it does not contains  Sodioum Laureth Sulphate (which is good as it will be more gentle to the gums), taste minty but on the milder side. Leave your mouth feeling refreshed but without the strong mint taste.

I am a fan of strong mint flavor toothpaste, but I feel this toothpaste is worth the switch!!!

So, in a nutshell, is this toothpaste worth purchasing?
Yes, if you have bad breath and concerns about oral hygiene. Coffee drinkers and smoker will love this too.

This product is made in Thailand and with halal stamp :)

            Where to buy?
The toothpaste is available online at Hermo Malaysia, link.
Few sizes are available and the prices are
- RM12 for 60g
- RM18 for 120g

So share with me, will you purchase this to improve your breath?

Beautiful Bali Day 2 - Pasar Ubud, Ibu Oka, Bali Safari & Marine Park and Naughty Nuri's

**Slightly non-halal post**

Bali post is going up much slower than I thought it would be. Oh well, the beauty of being a working adult with 4 cats at home. Hahaha.. Since this trip was over a year a go, all the tiniest details, I definitely have forgotten. But still, I will try my best to throw in prices whenever possible to make budgeting easier.

Summary of day two :

Day two started in Pasar Ubud. We reached Pasar Ubud around 12 noon for lunch at Ibu Oka, they are famous for their babi guling and I couldn't understand why. My Daiso RM5 cap save my face from getting sunburn. Cheap stuff can be good too.

Finally we get to try the famous Babi Guling. Verdict: The pork skin was not crispy and the dish itself tasted weird. But gotta give their "sambal" a thumbs up! Super hot and spicy and delightful.

Their shop is very easy to locate, or you can just tell your driver to drop you off there itself. The total bill if I remembered correctly, was not that expensive. It was average (Rp40,000 to Rp100,000 per meal), but I would not recommend this. Not my cup of tea. I prefer our locally available "siu yuk"/ roasted pork/ suckling pig. Save your money and eat your heart out at Naughty Nuri's!

We were lucky to have found a place to seat indoor instead of under the scorching weather. They have low tables and you will have to seat on the floor. By the time I am done with my lunch, I couldn't feel my feet. Hahaha..

(Clockwise) Orange juice, nasi + babi guling spesial, sambal and nasi + babi guling pisah.

I expected the pork skin (top right) to be very crispy, instead it was tough and chewy. How disappointing. Like I said their "sambal" was delightful. The orange juice was disappointing too. Nonetheless, we walked out with stuffed belly.

Compared to our local roasted pork / suckling pork, their suckling pig's skin is very shiny..

If your parents or grandparents is wearing dentures, you might want to skip this. The pork meat and skin is tough even for my teeth..

After lunch, I was planning on going for elephant ride. Unfortunately, we had communication hiccups with the driver and he brought us to Bali Safari & Marine Park instead. If you had visited Singapore Zoo in the past, you probably want to skip this. Nothing much here and the entrance fee is very expensive. We paid USD49 for Jungle Hopper, which includes Safari ride, Bali Agung show and water park.

I would say the most worthwhile time spent in Bali Safari was their Safari ride. You get to see the animal up-close as you traveled in fully air-conditioned truck, going in and out small river. It was fun!

The super up-close shot. Come to think of it now, the ride was a little risky. Hahaha

One of the most unforgettable experience at Bali Safari is making fresh paper from dried poo. Yup, you read it right. Poo~p.

Surprisingly, poo that were used to make the paper did not stink so bad. I had my fare share in pressing the paper too.

Next we visited the Kampung Gajah (Elephant village), you can see various elephants here. Not so interesting unless you are an elephant lover?

Lastly, we watched their famous show, Bali Agung.

Their set up and costumes were very pretty, but I don't quite enjoy this kind of show. I guess, Barong dance will interest me more. You can see more pictures on their official website here.

The journey to Bali Safari & Marine Park is quite far, approximately 1 hour. Since we started our day quite late and we spent a good 5 hours in Bali Safari, by the time we reached Ubud it was already dinner time. This time we decided to go for Naughty Nuri's. I have heard so much good things and rave about this place. I can happily say, the food there met my expectation! Sadly, I didn't get to try many variety of food because the two of us just can't possible gobble down a pork ribs and still have space for another meat.

The highlight of the night. Super tender and juicy with excellent sweet and tangy marinate! Perfect charring on the outside gives you excellent smoky flavor.. Ahhhh~~ This is love on first bite! I just suck the meat off the bones! This define delicious ribs I tell you. They were that GOOD! Of course aside from this amazing pork ribs, we ordered something else.

Please don't ask me why hubby have to order babi kecap manis and chap cai (pork in sweet soy sauce and stir fry mixed vegie). He got hooked with the simple dishes because according to him, the dinner we had by the road side the day before was sooooo yummy! The beef burger was ok. Had better and banana smoothies was thick and filling. The ribs was priced at Rp89,000 and I couldn't remember the rest. My bad. The only downside of this place is, it might be a lil dirty for some.

Ok maybe not a little but no worries for me. I have steel tummy. Hahaha.

HCG Diet - Weight loss journey with Mediviron UOA Clinic

Chinese New Year is over, the one thing most people will have in common now is the bigger number in kg! Chinese New Year Food especially the snacks are definitely bad for the tummy and hips. If you are trying really hard to find the easiest way to shed few kgs off that body, you might be reading the correct post.

There are overwhelming number of slimming methods one could find out there. One of it is HCG diet. I was approached by Mediviron UOA Clinic to undergo their treatment and since everyone around me have been telling that I looked pregnant (that fat huh?), I decided to go for a slimming treatment even though my face could benefit some other treatments. In Mediviron UOA Clinic, there are few types available and based on my consultation with Dr Leesha, HCG treatment would be the most suitable one. First of all, I hardly have or find time to exercise. Second, personally, sticking to the diet plan is much more doable and look more promising than exercising at least 3 times a week.

For those of you who never heard of HCG diet, HCG is short for human chorionic gonadotropin, a hormone that women make when they are pregnant. I asked my doctor the stupidest question ever and please no offense to pregnant lady out there, " why pregnant women? aren't they suppose to be fat? how can I slim down?" Well, I won't quote her answer here but feel free to google the reason behind it. hahaha.

After being briefed by Joan, I was then being directed into the consultation room. After few Q & As with Dr Leesha, we decided HCG diet is the optimum choice. But before it is final, she needed to know that I am capable of injecting myself at home. I have read that this treatment requires you to inject the hormones to your body by yourself. So, this was not surprising but still I was nervous! To my surprise, the "inject my own fats" session went very smooth.

Well, there will be alcohol swab given to clean the area that will be injected with HCG, I will then need to position the syringe 90 degrees and push the plunger. That's it. Done! The diet program is for 23 days and according to the Dr and also my own research, this program is categorised under the "high effort". Which means it is tough! For the first 3 days you are allowed to eat basically anything, the Dr even advise me to take food which are high in fat (so I went for my favourite chilli pan mee, Texas fried chicken and Indian food). On day 4, the real challenge start and continues for another 19 days.

In this program you are guaranteed to lose some weight but how much depends on your own will. The toughest part of the program is not injecting yourself every morning with HCG, trust me that is the easiest! The hardest will be following the diet plan given by the Dr. You can only consume 500 calories per day. Lean meat, no visible fats and 100g per serving. No oil, no butter. Which means broil, steam, boil or grill. No carbs, sweet stuff, etc. Strict diet. Well if I can lose 8 to 10 kgs, I don't mind eating boil chicken breast for 20 days.

The consultation went smooth even when I have to wait about 1 hour and 30 minutes from my initial appointment. I did voice up on the waiting time, but there is nothing much they can do about it since clients would sometimes add request during their consultation. After the consultation, I was given 7 syringe and 7 alcohol swabs to bring home and store in the fridge ( I will need to go for routine update every week to replenish my supply of HCG and to make sure I am on the right track), a diet plan (what to eat and to avoid) as well as a daily schedule to record my weight loss. As I am writing this, I am already on my sixth day, so far so good, no nausea, dizziness, diarrhea, etc. Only backache, not sure if it has anything to do with the diet though.

Well, I guess that’s all for my first visit. As I mentioned earlier I am required to visit the Dr every week to replenish my injections as well as checking my loss weight progress. I am excited to tell you about my first week review in my next post!

Have you ever tried this? Or are you scared? Initially, I am scared myself but now I just can’t wait to lose more weight. In the meantime, you can check their website for more info an like them on Facebook for frequent updates on promotion etc!

Double refreshment with Tiger Radler

Why Radler you say? Literally it means cyclist which explains its reputation as a popular sports drink. Across many countries Radler has a reputation for being a thirst-quencher. I can see why. It is so lemoney-beery refreshing! Being in a hot humid country, Tiger is doing a favour for many of us. Thinking of washing up to refresh yourself? Naah.. you don't need that. Grab a Tiger Radler and double refreshment is instantly yours..

I was invited to the exclusive launch of Tiger Radler and boy, I was thrilled! The horrible jam did not stop many from coming. The highlight of the night was definitely the virgin experience of sipping a Tiger Radler!

They kick-start the event with futuristic dance move that matches the projection.

Then followed by Andrew Netto to tickle the audience's funny bone. He was good!

Tiger also invited One Buck Short and Kyoto Protocol to heat up the night.

One Buck Short

Kyoto Protocol

We get to win Tiger Radler t-shirt just by uploading our photo during the event on either Facebook or Instagram. I must tell you, the custom made jersey t-shirt printed on the spot was pretty impressive. I had fun!

Bf designing his t-shirt and get it printed right there and then.

There were photo booths that night too. And tadaa..

Like I mentioned previously, the highlight was definitely sipping on the crisp, zesty lemon beer! Ahhh... sooo doubly refreshing~~

This will definitely be one of my favourite, with just 2% of alcohol, I say drink it all day, all night people! With its light and refreshing taste, gone are the days where the beers were bitter.

If and only if I could bring these home! Oh!

Good news, Tiger Radler is now available almost everywhere (pubs, clubs, cafes, supermarket, convenient stores..well you name it). Malaysia and Singapore are the first two countries in Southeast Asia to ever taste the double refreshment offered by Tiger Radler.

Tips: Enjoy your Tiger Radler chilled anytime you need a pick me up drink.

I think Companies should have this in their fridge instead of espresso machine... What do you think?
